Magenta

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 33 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many wide, twisting stems covered in delicate, silky, brown bark, and the wood inside is yellow.

The branches are long and slender with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, asymmetrical, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are yellow and magenta, resilient and crispy.

In early spring it produces several medium-sized, slate flowers with long, tapering petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have an intense scent that smells like faeces.
