Burgundy Vine

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 44 feet (13.4 meters) and growing as high as 708 feet (215.8 meters).

It takes 4 years for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they have tangled themselves into thick mats with a diameter of 4 inches (10 cm) and are rough and woody.

The very narrow and elongated, crispy leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are vivid yellow on the sides and red at the center, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the bine produces many average deep green flowers.
