Blueberry

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 45 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 53 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, straight trunk covered in thick, wrinkled, brown and grey bark, and inside, the light wood is brown.

The excessive amount of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with sparse amounts of huge, very thin leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are found in yellow and aquamarine varieties.

In early spring, it produces dozens of medium-sized, sky blue blossoms with needle-like petals. They are sturdy and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like onion.

In late autumn it produces , triangular fruit. The fuzzy cream skin is tough and sweet and salty, and the crunchy white flesh is bitter and powdery. The yellow seeds are small and are bunched at the top of the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.
