Caramelberry

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 188 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many very thick, twisting stems covered in thin, knobbly, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is mahogany-coloured.

The branches trail down across the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of miniature, 8 pointed, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are cream with caramel tips, frail and rough.

It produces lots of small, purple flowers with broad, flat petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have the faintest scent that smells like cigarette smoke. In mid-autumn it forms medium-sizedaquamarine berries.

It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
