Bluebell

This average-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 28 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has several narrow, curved stems covered in paper-thin, cracked, dark brown bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.

The branches are very long and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of large, spear shaped, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are found in washed-out blue, bronze and pink varieties, delicate and clammy.

In late spring it produces several medium-sized, pale purple flowers with slender, pointed petals. They are very delicate and have a faint scent that smells like warm cookies.
