Crimson Spiral Moss

This red moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In rainy mountain ranges, In damp forests, and In moorlands.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is very durable.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores.
