Coppervine

This big vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 396 feet (120.7 meters) and growing as high as 107 feet (32.6 meters).

It takes 2 years for the copper stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 1.3 feet (38 cm) and are smooth and woody.

The pleated, smooth leaves reach up to 1.8 feet (56 cm) in length. They are solid purple or cream, with violet dots, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the vine produces lots of small cream flowers, and during the mid-summer, after flowering, it produces a few large seed pods.
