Spikelet Grass

This small, yellow-green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The wispy stalks grow in small clumps that are rigid.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, lilac spikelet.

During the late autumn, it produces a fair amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of large grains.
