Bluevine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This large bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 123 feet (37.5 meters) and growing as high as 41 feet (12.5 meters).

It takes 14 months for the washed-out blue or lime stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 1.0 foot (30 cm) and are rough and prickly.

The 6 pointed, rough leaves reach up to 2.3 feet (71 cm) in length. They are found in cream, cyan and amber varieties, and have rounded edges.

During late spring, the bine produces dozens of small blue flowers.

It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
