Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps On trees, In heathlands, and In bogs.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they are exceptionally hardy, and is overwhelmingly light.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores.
