Purplegrass

This average-sized, green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The asymmetrical stalks grow in sparse patches that are prone to bending and snapping under stress and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, drab purple tuft.

During the early autumn, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.
