Bluevine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This large bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 212 feet (64.6 meters) and growing as high as 76 feet (23.2 meters).

It takes 20 months for the blue stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1.6 feet (48 cm) and are smooth and fuzzy.

The very narrow and elongated, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 9 inches (23 cm) in length. They are either light brown, or magenta with copper zig-zags, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces thick bunches of tiny beige flowers.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It can flourish even in standing water.
