Copperstem Flower
Flower type: Biennial (Stores water in its stem)This small flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its copper stem is very thin and straight, and the tiny, gray-green leaves are dark orange-yellow on the underside and are broad, flat with serrated edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.
Lots of small flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with bronze petals and a yellow center. The flower head is shaped like a cup with 21 widely spaced, narrow petals. They fall easily.
It has the faintest scent that smells like coconut, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by the wind and is ignored by most insect species.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
