Magenta

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This short cactus grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. The wide stem is lime green, and is covered in handfuls of fine, green, hair-like spines.

It is very slow growing, taking 30 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are magenta on the edges and lilac at the center, grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 curved petals. It has a strong scent that smells like mint.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the gentle orange flesh is smooth, and the indigo sap is thin.

The grains are bitter, but very healthy and can be used to make numerous baked goods.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
