Silverspeck Tree

This short tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 523 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, wavy trunk covered in delicate, silky, black with white speckled bark, and inside, the dense wood is pale yellow.

The tangled mess of branches are very short and thick and are covered with copious amounts of fuzzy, large, finger-like leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either silver or lime, with grey dots.

In late summer it forms tiny, hazel, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with patches of undergrowth between them.
