Crimson Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This huge leaf succulent grows up to 172 feet (52.4 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is green, and is covered in dozens of rigid yellow spines. The pointed leaves are generally blood red. Large amounts of them grow on very thick, crimson or light brown branches that are short stubs. The leaves are rigid, and do not detach easily.

It is steady-growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are beige on the underside and pastel red on the top grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is made up of many petals in raised layers. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like damp.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the bronze flesh is waxy, and the brown sap is thin.


The seeds are toxic to people but not to certain animals.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
It is bio-luminescent.
