Aurumleaf

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This average-sized tree grows up to 23 meters (75.5 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 316 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, crooked trunk covered in thick, ridged, burgundy and brown bark, and inside, the light wood is pale yellow.

The branches are very long, thin and wispy and are covered with large amounts of leathery, huge, sickle shaped leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either brilliant green, or green with gold patches.

In late summer it forms tiny, yellow, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
