Bloodtail grass

This average-sized, gray grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The finger-like stalks grow in extensive patches that are strong and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, blood red tail.

During the late autumn, it produces a fair amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of small grains.
