Caramelactus
Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This massive caudiciform grows up to 26 feet (7.9 meters) tall. The narrow stem is pink-red, and is covered in sharp spines. The angular, caramel trunk can grow to as much as 26 feet (7.9 meters) in diameter at the top. Its purple branches are short, rigid and upright and start growing halfway up the stem.
The large amounts of ripped-edged, very narrow and elongated leaves are yellow on the sides and white at the center. They are delicate, and are very difficult to pull away.
It is slow growing, taking 5 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with solid aquamarine petals decorated with sky blue lines and a orange central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is shaped like a dish made up of several raised, round-tipped petals. It has a weak scent that smells like an ocean breeze.
The caudiciform's skin is thick, the lilac flesh is smooth, and the caramel sap is thin.
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
