Burgundy Grass

This small, burgundy grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The circular stalks grow in sparse patches that are sturdy and flexible.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, bold red flower.

During the late summer, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of giant grains.
