Bronzeucculent

This short leaf succulent grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is cream or crimson, and is covered in thick sheets of rigid bronze spines. The rounded leaves are grey with cyan tips. Large amounts of them grow on thin, cream branches that trail down to the ground. The leaves are robust, and take little effort to detach.

It is very slow growing, taking 45 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are yellow on the underside and bronze on the top grows at the top, reappearing once every 6 years. The flower head is shaped like a dish with 54 raised, round-tipped petals. It has an intense scent that smells like grass cuttings.

The leaf succulent's skin is tough, the grey flesh is soft, and the caramel sap is thin.
