Copperbell

This short flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its copper stem is thin and straight with a curved tip, and the small, burgundy leaves are stiff, pointed with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

A single medium-sized flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with petals that are copper in the center, drab blue in the middle and brown at the edges. The flower head is shaped like a bowl with 17 widely spaced, narrow petals. They detach easily.

It has a soft scent that smells like candle wax, and it has excessive amounts of pollen,but it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.
