Blueberry Tree
Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 24 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a branched, slanted trunk covered in silky, pine-coloured bark, and inside, the dense wood is silver.
The extensive patches of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with large amounts of huge, long, narrow leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either bold blue, or aquamarine with black splotches.
In early spring, it produces dozens of tiny, blood red blossoms with shield-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a weak scent that smells like sugar.
In late autumn it produces , perforated fruit. The fuzzy aquamarine skin is delicate and spicy and savoury, and the very soft aquamarine flesh is slightly sweet and dry. The deep yellow seed is small and sits at the top of the fruit.
The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
