Crimson Vine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 38 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of flexible, straight stems covered in paper-thin, wrinkled, silver and white bark, and the wood inside is yellow.

The branches trail down towards the ground that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, thin, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are either green or crimson, with caramel streaks, tough and soft.

It produces bunches of small, cream flowers with 5 teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They fall easily and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like petrol. In late spring it forms smallblack aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
The stems are covered in large spikes.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
