Coppergrass
Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This short, copper grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The pleated stalks grow in small clumps that are resilient and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, peach tail.
During the early winter, it produces excessive amounts of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a few large grains.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
Ivy often grows along the trunk.
