Silverleaf

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 15 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of flexible, straight stems covered in thick, silky, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is light brown.

The branches trail down to the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of giant, asymmetrical, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of yellow that gradient shifts to silver at the top, flexible and sticky.

In early summer it produces many tiny, vivid purple flowers with long, tapering petals. They are very delicate and have a faint scent that smells like grass cuttings.
