This yellow-green moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas On rotten logs.
It is enormous, growing up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is slightly hardy.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release millions of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.

It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
