Climbing Whirlflower
Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its gray or purple stem is very thick and straight with a curved tip, and the small, gray-green leaves are long, narrow with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
Each stem splits 1 to 5 times; a single tiny flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 1 cm (0.4 inches) wide, with petals that are either washed-out green or brown, with a yellow center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 curved petals. They are hardy.
It has a mildly strong scent that smells like perfume, and it has lots of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
