Burgundy Cactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This small cactus grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The wispy stem is burgundy, and is dotted with small white spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with solid cream petals and a cyan central disk grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 5 petals in raised layers. It has a strong scent that smells like garlic.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the indigo flesh is soft, and the cyan sap is thin.


It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is suitable for making strong rope
