Copper

This modest-sized caudiciform grows up to 19 feet (5.8 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is copper or turquoise, and is covered in thousands of rigid washed-out green spines. It has a curved, thick, gold trunk atop a thick stilted platform of smooth, exposed roots. The branches are very thick and brown and are very short and thick.

The smooth-edged, slender, pointed leaves are red and slate. They are strong, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with each petal a slightly different shade of purple grow at the top, reappearing once every 8 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 petals. It has a powerful scent that smells like rotting meat.

The caudiciform's skin is tough, the cream flesh is sticky, and the brilliant purple sap is thin.
