Cinnamon

Flower type: Annual (Stores water in its stem)

This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its yellow-green stem is thick and straight with a curved tip, and the small, faded orange leaves are long, tapering with wavy edges. The leaves alternate on the stem.

Each stem splits 1 to 7 times; a single giant flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with petals that are beige at the sides and ashy green at the center. The flower head is made up of 12 petals in raised layers. They fall easily.

It has a delicate scent that smells like cinnamon, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also visited by a variety of insects.
