Magenta Fruit Tree

This enormous fruit tree grows up to 63 feet (19.2 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 39 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, wonky trunk covered in thick, wrinkled, brown and grey bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is pale brown.

The branches are short stubs and are covered with handfuls of huge, long, narrow leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are solid aquamarine with magenta patches.

In early spring, it produces a thick sheet of large, faded red blossoms with sickle shaped petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have a fairly strong scent that smells like freshly washed clothes.

In early winter it produces small, spherical fruit. The rubbery lime skin is peel-able and sweet and sour, and the soft magenta flesh is sweet and very juicy. The gold seeds are tiny and are bunched at the bottom of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
