Copperpine

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This massive shrub grows up to 15 feet (4.6 meters) tall and lives for around 78 years. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has several flexible, crooked stems covered in fine, smooth, copper-coloured bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches are short and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of huge, very thick, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are caramel with magenta tips, sturdy and leathery.

In late spring it produces several small, black flowers with teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They are hardy and have a soft scent that smells like pepper.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
The sap is edible and slightly salty.
