Mahogany

This average-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 72 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many flexible, straight stems covered in ridged, mahogany-coloured bark, and the wood inside is burgundy.

The branches are long and thick with dozens of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, slender, pointed, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are green on the sides and brilliant yellow at the center, resistant and leathery.

In late spring it produces many clusters of medium-sized, orange flowers with finger-like petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are sturdy and have a delicate scent that smells like warm milk.
