Ashy Red Moss

This ashy red moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In rainy mountain ranges, and In rainforests.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is very flimsy.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release thousands of spores.
