Blue Spine Caudiciform

This huge caudiciform grows up to 166 feet (50.6 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is sky blue, and is covered in brittle gold spines. It has a angular, bulbous, white trunk atop a wide tripod of rough, exposed roots. The branches are thick and lime green and are very short, thin and wispy.

The tattered-edged, very thick leaves are grey on the edges and blue at the center. They are tough, but take some effort to detach.

It is quick growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with solid washed-out purple petals decorated with bronze lines and a caramel central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 7 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 51 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. It has a weak scent that smells like fruity.

The caudiciform's skin is nearly impenetrable, the blue flesh is smooth, and the cream sap is thin.
