Embermoss

This orange moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In marshes, On rotten logs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is average-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is very frail.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release hundred of spores.
