Cyan Succulent

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 46 feet (14.0 meters) tall. The finger-like stem is cyan, and is covered in sharp spines. The rounded-edged, very thick leaves are found in faded orange and vivid yellow varieties. Sparse amounts of them grow from the base in alternating layers of 2, then 4, then 6, and so on. The leaves are resistant, but detach easily.

It is steady-growing, taking 12 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with solid vivid yellow petals and an amber central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 7 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. It has an overpowering scent that smells like apple.

The leaf succulent's skin is tough, the faded purple flesh is leathery, and the pastel green sap is thin.
