Copperbell

This short caudiciform grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The perforated stem is copper, and is covered in many flexible pastel green spines. The straight, pastel orange trunk can grow to as much as 1 foot (30.5 cm) in diameter at the top. Its caramel and copper branches are short stubs and start growing at the top the stem.

The handfuls of toothed-edged, fan-like leaves are solid olive with light grey lines. They are frail, but detach easily.

It is fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with violet petals and a cream central disk grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is largely flat with 50 tightly layered narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like old books.

The caudiciform's skin is extremely thick, the olive flesh is rough, and the indigo sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.
