The excessive amount of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with sparse amounts of huge, wide leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are either vibrant orange or silver, with lime streaks.
In early spring, it produces handfuls of tiny, amber blossoms with 5 shield-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like sweat.
In early summer it produces , perforated fruit. The rough aquamarine skin is stretchy and edible when boiled; it is sweet and spicy, and the slightly crunchy red flesh is sweet and syrupy. The black seed is small and sits at the top of the fruit.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.
