Silverleaf Succulent

This large leaf succulent grows up to 75 feet (22.9 meters) tall. The very thick stem is gray-green, and is covered in sharp spines. The tattered-edged, long, narrow leaves are moss green with cream tips. Copious amounts of them grow from the base in random directions. The leaves are rigid, but take little effort to detach.

It is slow growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are generally silver; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour grows at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a sphere with 59 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like glue.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the silver flesh is smooth, and the beige sap is thin.
