Coppervine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small bine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 14 feet (4.3 meters)0.

It takes 2 months for the orange-yellow stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and remain soft and fleshy.

The oblong, rough leaves reach up to 3 inches (8 cm) in length. They are copper with olive tips, and have ripped edges.

During late spring, the bine produces several tiny crimson flowers, and during the late autumn, after flowering, it produces copious amounts of tiny fruits.


It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
