Bronzebell

This average-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 47 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous knobbly, straight stems covered in very thick, rough, brown and grey bark, and the wood inside is mahogany-coloured.

The branches are short, rigid and upright that and are covered with thick bunches of tiny, 9 pointed, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are white on the edges and beige at the center, light and frail and clammy.

In late summer it produces hundreds of giant, bronze flowers with asymmetrical petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have the faintest scent that smells like an ocean breeze.
