Emerald Bog Moss

This gray-green moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In bogs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is large, growing up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is extremely robust; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores.

It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
The sap causes itchiness of the skin
