Crimson Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The perforated stem is yellow-green, and is covered in thick sheets of rigid aquamarine spines. The bubbly leaves are silver with azure tips. Sparse amounts of them grow on very thick, crimson branches that are tall, rigid and upright. The leaves are frail, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is very fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with purple petals that gradient shift to crimson on the outer edge. The central disk is lime grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 10 petals. It has a strong scent that smells like pine needles.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the gold flesh is smooth, and the blood red sap is thin.

It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
It comes in 8 varieties, each with a different leaf colour.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
