This copper moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In rainforests.
It is large, growing up to 8 inches (20 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they are exceptionally hardy, and is slightly resistant.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release millions of spores.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
The stems are covered in large spikes.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
