Brown Vine

This large vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 340 feet (103.6 meters) and growing as high as 130 feet (39.6 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.

It takes 23 months for the brown stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 7 inches (18 cm) and are smooth and waxy.

The spear shaped, rough leaves reach up to 1.6 feet (48 cm) in length. They are generally light grey, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces many small orange flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces a few small berries.
