Blueberry Bush

This small fruit tree grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 19 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, angular trunk covered in silky, black bark, and inside, the very light wood is light brown.

The small bunches of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with very large amounts of giant, thin leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are gray-green with gold tips.

In early spring, it produces thick bunches of large, olive blossoms with triangular shaped petals. They are hardy and have an intense scent that smells like fruity.

In early summer it produces , circular fruit. The fuzzy blue skin is delicate and slightly salty, and the slightly crunchy gentle purple flesh is extremely sweet and syrupy. The olive seeds are tiny and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
