Bloodvine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This big shrub grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall and lives for around 24 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous sturdy, twisting stems covered in thick, cracked, brown-green bark, and the wood inside is yellow-brown.

The branches are short, rigid and upright that and are covered with copious amounts of miniature, sickle shaped, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid orange or green, with blood red splotches, robust and leathery.

It produces handfuls of medium-sized, washed-out red flowers with 9 V-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a weak scent that smells like freshly baked bread. In late spring it forms medium-sizedcrimson, spiky-shelled seeds.

It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
