Burgundy Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This giant vine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 1,404 feet (427.9 meters) and growing as high as 588 feet (179.2 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 26 years for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 10 inches (25 cm) and are rough and gnarled.

The asymmetrical, smooth leaves reach up to 1.0 foot (30 cm) in length. They are found in pink and peach varieties, and have rounded edges.

The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
